That.. that's just dumb. I can't find another word to describe it. Perfect example of where not to stand as a spectator. And to top it off they go and stand in the middle of a live course after the crash. Go a bit up the road and signal to slow the cars down (in a safe position) or just stay behind the car and the trees if you do feel you need to check on the driver/co-driver.

Actually, given the tree fence, that wasn't too bad a spot. It takes a lot of force to knock down that many trees. Yes, you might pick up some shrapnel, and yes, the inside is much safer, but I have seen worse.
